If you are interested in slime but do not know anything about it, this is the post for you! I feel like slime can be a little bit intimidating at first because it just seems sticky and messy. This is not the case and slime can be well managed and a lot of fun to play with! One thing you should know is that slime is essentially a combination of glue and activator and is sensitive to temperature. When it sits for awhile or if it gets exposed to warm temperatures, it can become a little melted. But no worries! In every slime order you will recieve a little baggy of borax. You will need 1 teaspoon of borax to 1 cup of hot water. Make sure the borax dissolves in the water completely and then SLOWLY add little by little to your slime until it gets to the desired consistancy. Make sure to not add too much, as you can overactivate your slime and it could become stiff and less stretchy. On the other hand, if slime is exposed to cooler weather it can become stiff. All you have to do to fix this is just warm the slime up with your hands and slowly knead it, as soon as it warms up a little it will be back to normal!
The next thing you should know is that slime is best played with on a clean surface such as a table top or over a rubber mat. Not every slime is meant to be held and some slime is more fun when it is played with on a flat surface. Just in my experience, clear slimes are typically best played with on a table. When you are done playing with slime make sure to put it back in the container and make sure the lid is secured to reduce the chances of your slime drying out! Also, always remember to wash your hands before and after playing with slime!
